Interviewing Author Evelyn Mann

Interviewing Author Evelyn Mann Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I am a special-needs mom, author, and blogger. I enjoy reading memoirs and fiction based on a true story. As a child, I enjoyed reading the Nancy Drew Mystery series. I also adored The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis. My favorite non-fiction book for book marketing is Platform by Michael Hyatt.  Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from?  A. After I had my son. He was born with a rare form of dwarfism called Thanatophoric Dysplasia. The medical books state that this diagnosis is “not compatible with life.” The challenges we faced and the hurdles we overcame reminded me of movies I’d seen. So, I wrote a book to share the amazing survival of a boy who overcame all odds to become a miracle.  Q3. How did you come up with the titles of your books?  A. The title of my memoir is Miracle In My Living Room: The Story of a Little Mann. My s

Interviewing Author Renee Marski Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I have several genres I enjoy reading. My first love will always be mystery books. I read Nancy Drew as a kid and was fascinated. That continued as I have gotten older with Mary Higgins Clark. Fairytale retellings are another favorite of mine. The Looking Glass Wars was the first book like that I had ever read and I haven’t stopped since. Last, historical fiction is another favorite. My dad is a history teacher, and so they have always drawn me to history. My focus right now is on Tudor England, and there are some great stories to be found. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from?  A. I’ve been writing for years, once I read my first book and realized I had stories to tell. I had teachers who would take the stories I wrote and bind them for me (both my second and third-grade teachers did this) like real books. The first actual story I wrote was fan fic

Interviewing Author  Maria Henriksen Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I don't tend to reread books. However, as a substitute teacher for mainly high school and middle school students, I have reread The Outsiders which is one of my favorite novels. It was an assignment for HS students so I took the opportunity to reread it. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from? A. Ever since I was a child I wanted to write. In fact, I wrote and illustrated books in third grade. It wasn't until about 10 years ago that I decided to write a novel. My novel took a few months to write. Over 2 years ago, I dusted it off the proverbial shelf to get it ready to be published. Q3. How did you come up with the titles of your books? A. My novel is a YA edgy Christian romance. I wanted a short catchy name and one that was in keeping with the storyline. Due to reoccurring themes in the novel, I decided to call it Not
