Interviewing Author Violeta Bagia

Interviewing Author  Violeta Bagia  Q1. Tell me about yourself? A. I was born in Bosnia and migrated to Australia in the early 90s. Learning English, trying to fit in and make new friends was one of the main drivers for me to learn how to write. I found comfort in books and quickly began writing my own stories. After several teachers encouraged me to nurture my passion, I wrote and published my first poem when I was 12 years old. Later in life, the need to empower girls and women became a passion were taking back control became a frequent theme in my books. Watching kickass characters like Buffy Summers and Sydney Bristow further fueled that desire. Today, I am an advocate for sexual assault survivors, anti-bullying, and diversity. I was longlisted twice for the Davitt Awards here in Australia which celebrates female crime writers. I’m currently represented by Vulpine Press who are also advocates for strong female voices and leading the charge for women in literature. Q2.What are your

Interviewing Author Randall Allen Dunn

Interviewing Author Randall Allen Dunn Q1. Tell me about yourself? A. I write action thrillers that read like blockbuster movies, under my given name, Randall Allen Dunn. I'm writing fantasy and paranormal thrillers under my pen name, D.A. Randall, which includes the Red Rider Saga, about a 16-year old scarface Red Riding Hood fighting a sinister cult of werewolves. I grew up on movies and comic books and never could find enough action in the action thrillers I read. So now I write the kind of stories that I would want to read, full of action and humor and memorable characters you can root for. I'm married and have 2 adopted kids, and I've lived my whole life in Illinois. And whenever we can afford it, our goal is to take another trip to Disneyworld. Interviewing Author Julie Gilbert

Interviewing Author Julie Gilbert  Q1. Tell me about yourself? A.  My personal tag is Writer. Teacher. Believer.  That about sums me up. I write in several genres, including sci-fi, fantasy, and mystery. Every one of my books is kid-safe in terms of language and adult content, but a few are a bit more intense than others. Beyond Broken Pencils is probably something students should read, but it’s about a school shooting.   I’m also a high school chemistry teacher, so some of the writer-ly stuff is taking a backseat as I get myself used to hybrid teaching.   I’m also a Christian. That flavors my writing and teaching no matter what I’m doing. Q2.What are your favorite books to read? A. I’m a fan of Brandon Sanderson, but I don’t love all his series. Mistborn was awesome. Couldn’t get into Stormlight Archives. The Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill is one of my favorite books. Q3. When did you decide you were going to write a book? A. As I was finishing high school, I had some time on my ha
