Interviewing Author Robert Goins

Q 1. Tell me about your self?

A. I am a husband and father of 8. I work on call for a great company. I am a minister of the gospel. I live in Louisiana, but I was raised in Arkansas and born in Wisconsin.


Q2. What are your favorite books to read?

A.Well, my favorite is the Bible and Rightly Dividing the Word by Ira Milligan.



Q3. When did you decide you were going to write a book?

A. It may sound strange, but after a dream I had. I felt it was from God.


Q4. How did you come up with the name of your book?

A. Praying. So I got the end of the story before I started writing, and knew what the name would be from the ending.


Q5. What are you working on for 2021?

A. I am working on part 3 of Doors Of The Church Are Open. It is a 4 part series, at least for now.


Q6. How long have you been writing?

A. Since 2016. First book published in 2017.


Q7. What advice would you give other authors?

 

A. Don't just write. Learn about how to edit, publish and distribute. See if it's something you desire to do or not. It may save you in the long run.

Q9. What is your favorite coffee drink?

A. Not a coffee drinker 


Q10. What is your favorite coffee shop?

A. I go with my wife to a Christian coffee shop in the area.


Q11. Do you plan on making a new book in the future?

A. Yes, I have 7 books in the works. 6 fictional and 1 nonfiction.


Q12. How many books have you written?

A. I have written 4 books. 3 are self published.


Q13. Did you go to college to be a writer?

A. No college for writing. I was horrible at grammar, go figure. I did learn as I began to write.
