interviewing Author Donna E. Lane

when did you decide you were going to write a book?

A.  My first book is called Restored Christianity.  It was birthed from conversations with my oldest son, Hayden Lane, about struggles we were having reconciling what we saw in Scripture with what the church was teaching. Generally accepted common beliefs didn't match the teachings of Jesus or the writings of Paul. After a few years of conversation, we decided to do something about it. Restored Christianity is our attempt to nail "95 Theses" to the door of the church (a la Martin Luther) to challenge these common beliefs and restore the original teachings of Christianity

Q.2 how did you come up with the name of your books

A. Usually, the names arise from the content and focus of the book, whatever that might be. I write both fiction and nonfiction and different genres, so my titles are very reflective of the content.

Q3. what are you working on now for 20 18?

A. I am currently writing a 3-part series called The Whisperers, a fantasy, world-building Christian series. Book One is called Sky Light Falls and is currently in final edits. Book Two is in the writing process. The series tells the story of the reunification of two worlds, one bound in time and consumed by evil, and the other existing outside of time and free of evil. I am also working on the 2nd edition of Trauma Narrative Treatment, a professional manual for trauma care, and the 3rd edition of Restored Christianity.

Q4. how long have you been writing?

A. I started writing my first story in 3rd grade. Interestingly enough,  it was a world-building fantasy about a group of young girls trying to save their planet. I have been writing for personal pleasure since then, including writing poetry and song lyrics, short stories, and novels.

Q 5. What advice would you give other authors?

A. Write for the joy of it. Don't give up. Believe in what your heart wants to express and express it freely. Don't let anyone else determine how you feel about your writing. Be confident the Lord had given you something important to say, and remember,  only a handful of people listened to what Jesus taught initially.

Q6. where can people find you online?

A. My websites are: restoredchristianity.com
doctordlane.com
codylanefoundation.com
On Facebook: facebook.com/Restored.Christianity
Twitter: @doctordelane
Instagram: @doctordelane

Q7. do you plan on making more books in the future

A. I plan on writing until I go home with Jesus. As long as I am able, I want to continue to write.  I believe Jesus always has truth to share, so I will keep asking for truth and I will keep writing down what I hear.'

Q8. how many books have you written

A. 10: Restored Christianity,   Ready to Learn,  Please Share the Door I'm Freezing: Creating Oneness in Marriage, Wilderness Meditations, Trauma Narrative Treatment, Gold Stone, Strength in Our Story (facilitator manual and participant manual) Strength in Adversity, The Interview, and God Knows All About You.

Q9.did you go to college to be a writer?

A. No, I went to college to study psychology and graduate school to become a counselor. However, I took creative writing courses during my undergraduate studies as my electives. An odd combination! But, I've never colored inside the lines.

Interviewing Author Grahame Peace Q1. Tell me about yourself what are your favorite books to read? A. I’m 61 years of age and was born in the Northern Textile Town of Huddersfield in England where I still live with my partner. I like many genres of books, but I don’t like anything too dark; before I retired I worked for many years in Mental Health Services in the UK, so I had more than my fill of ‘life’, and the ups and downs it can throw at people. So, I tend to go for books that offer escapism, I also like history, autobiographies, and biographies. At the moment I’m enjoying the fictional book ‘The Haunting of Ashburn House by Darcy Coates. I say I’m retired, but I now consider myself to be an author, I treat it as a full-time job, working on my books for several hours most days. Q2. when did you decide you were going to write a book? A. I retired from my job with the National Health Service in the UK nearly five years ago now; I’d already started my first book by th

Interview Author Gabriella Messina Q1. Tell me about yourself what are your favorite books to read?  A.  I’ve found that, as I continue to grow as a writer, I’ve grown more selective as a reader. I tend to choose books from the same genres that I write… mysteries, historical fiction, fantasy… and I gravitate back to older books more than newer. I like stories that move at a good, steady pace, almost like a well-made film; that isn’t preachy, but still, give you something to think about; and that have well-developed characters that act like real people.  Q2.when did you decide you were going to write a book? I’d been  A.writing screenplays since the early 2000s and I’d gotten some notice for them, but getting into that industry is notoriously difficult and expensive. Then I learned about the rise of indie publishing, KDP and such, and decided to try adapting the stories into novels. Q3. How did you come up with the name of your books?  A. Poetry, songs,

Interviewing Author Shannon Taylor Vannatter Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I started reading clean romance when I was fourteen. I married my high school sweetheart and worked as a hairdresser for ten years. Once insurance became important, I went to work at a bank and the corporate offices of a large fragrance company. After our son was born, I became a stay at home mom. I love reading Christian Contemporary Romance. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from? A. There came a time when I couldn’t find anything clean anymore when I was in my early thirties, so I decided to write what I wanted to read. My characters kept praying and talking to God and I realized I was writing Christian romance instead of merely clean. It took me nine and a half years to get published. Q3. How did you come up with the titles of your books? A. I start with a working title that fits the theme of the book. Sometimes, I change it as
