Interviewing Author Lisa Stillwell

Q.When did you decide you were going to write a book?

A. I decided to write a book when I was working at Pink Hill Elementary School in Pink Hill, North Carolina. I was going through a lot of challenges, and I would use writing as an outlet. One of those challenges was my mother being diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. That was a tough time for me, but God used that period of my life to refine my character and allow me to focus on the things that were most important.

Q.2 How did you come up with the name of your books?

A. The first book I have ever written was I Asked, God, Spoke. This book was more like a journal, but I turned those journals into Devotionals. Whatever I was going through that day I would write it down. I would then ask God to guide me when it came to dealing with that day's problem, and no matter what He always had an answer.  I would jot that answer on a piece of paper with the hope that it might help someone else experiencing the same struggles.
The second book I wrote is Christian Film Stars: Interviews with the Best! This was probably one of the most rewarding books that I have ever written. I guess that is because I had a lot of help. I was able to interview Alex Kendrick and so many others in the faith-based film industry.  At the time I was writing that book God opened doors for me to see if Kirk Cameron would like to take part in an interview. At the time he was busy with Revive and had a full schedule, so I went on to publication. A couple of years later Kirk Cameron came to Dunn, North Carolina for Living Room Reset and I was able to give him and his wife Chelsea an autographed copy of the book. You never really know what God is going to do!

 Q. 3 What are you working on now for 20 18?
A. I just released another book. It is a small 38 pager and is written in honor of my 92-year-old Grandmother. The title is A Story Of A Grandma’s Love. This book discusses simpler times and how my Grandma’s house seemed to be my Walnut Grove. However, my Walnut Grove was not on the Banks of Plum Creek, but it was a small little white house on a farm about half a mile down a dirt road. It is where I learned to deal with all the Nellies’ in my life as I headed off to school. It is also where I learned from Grandma’s wisdom and loving guidance.  She was always the constant light in her window praying for my day and night! I hope that this book will encourage Grandparents and let them know that they can make a difference in the life of their Grandchildren.

Q 4. How long have you been writing?

A. I honestly have been writing since I was a teenager! My sister used to write beautiful poems and that sparked an interest in me.  I began writing my own poems and then short stories just for fun. Later, in June 2015, I published my first book.

Q 5. What advice would you give other authors?

A. I would be careful about who publishes your book. There are a lot of people out there ready to scam you! If you need help with publishing needs, I will be more than happy to guide you! I do this at affordable prices and offer editorial services. Many publishers out there will rob you blind and make you think that they are doing you a favor. Trust me! I know because that happened to me. I don’t say this to scare anyone, but be very cautious! Make sure you do your research!

Q 6. Where can people find you online?

A.People can follow me on Facebook at Lisa Thornton Stillwell. I also have a gig on Fiverr for affordable editorial services https://www.fiverr.com/writeralways16. However; they can also contact me through my email address at lisathorntonstillwell@gmail.com and visit my author central page on Amazon if anyone is interested in my books. https://www.amazon.com/Lisa-Thornton-Stillwell/e/B01ASH7BCY/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_2?qid=1537280878&sr=8-2

Q7 Do you plan on making more books in the future?

A. Yes. As long as I am able and living on this green earth, I plan to keep on keeping on! I will continue writing until the Lord tells me to stop.

Q 8 How many books have you written?

A. I have written about eight books. I am currently working on my ninth. In the middle of all this when I am not writing about my own stories, I am doing my best to help others. I was fortunate enough to be on David AR White’s Launch team for his book Between Heaven and Hollywood. I was also able to meet him shortly after the Launch of his book as well.

Q 9 Did you go to college to be a writer?

A. Nope! I didn’t go to college as a writer. However, when I was in school and wrote articles my teachers would often tell me that my writing was fantastic! At the time I just thought they were trying to be nice because I certainly didn’t understand what they were seeing? I am not the type of person to toot my own horn. I know that if I have any talent whatsoever, it is because God has given it to me and I want to use my skill for His Glory. It doesn’t always take a college degree to be successful. All it takes is an obedient heart to our beautiful Savior!

Interviewing Author Grahame Peace Q1. Tell me about yourself what are your favorite books to read? A. I’m 61 years of age and was born in the Northern Textile Town of Huddersfield in England where I still live with my partner. I like many genres of books, but I don’t like anything too dark; before I retired I worked for many years in Mental Health Services in the UK, so I had more than my fill of ‘life’, and the ups and downs it can throw at people. So, I tend to go for books that offer escapism, I also like history, autobiographies, and biographies. At the moment I’m enjoying the fictional book ‘The Haunting of Ashburn House by Darcy Coates. I say I’m retired, but I now consider myself to be an author, I treat it as a full-time job, working on my books for several hours most days. Q2. when did you decide you were going to write a book? A. I retired from my job with the National Health Service in the UK nearly five years ago now; I’d already started my first book by th

Interview Author Gabriella Messina Q1. Tell me about yourself what are your favorite books to read?  A.  I’ve found that, as I continue to grow as a writer, I’ve grown more selective as a reader. I tend to choose books from the same genres that I write… mysteries, historical fiction, fantasy… and I gravitate back to older books more than newer. I like stories that move at a good, steady pace, almost like a well-made film; that isn’t preachy, but still, give you something to think about; and that have well-developed characters that act like real people.  Q2.when did you decide you were going to write a book? I’d been  A.writing screenplays since the early 2000s and I’d gotten some notice for them, but getting into that industry is notoriously difficult and expensive. Then I learned about the rise of indie publishing, KDP and such, and decided to try adapting the stories into novels. Q3. How did you come up with the name of your books?  A. Poetry, songs,

Interviewing Author Shannon Taylor Vannatter Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I started reading clean romance when I was fourteen. I married my high school sweetheart and worked as a hairdresser for ten years. Once insurance became important, I went to work at a bank and the corporate offices of a large fragrance company. After our son was born, I became a stay at home mom. I love reading Christian Contemporary Romance. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from? A. There came a time when I couldn’t find anything clean anymore when I was in my early thirties, so I decided to write what I wanted to read. My characters kept praying and talking to God and I realized I was writing Christian romance instead of merely clean. It took me nine and a half years to get published. Q3. How did you come up with the titles of your books? A. I start with a working title that fits the theme of the book. Sometimes, I change it as
