Q1. Tell me about yourself?

A. I'm a USA Today bestselling author of swashbuckling "medieval action-adventure romances," mostly set in Scotland, with 25+ books published in six languages. But before I was a medieval matchmaker, I rocked in an all-girl band called The Pinups on CBS Records, did voiceovers for the MTV animated series, "The Maxx," Diablo and Starcraft videogames, and Star Wars audio adventures, and married a rock star. These days I love to transport readers to a place where the bold heroes have endearing flaws, the women are stronger than they look, the land is lush and untamed, and chivalry is alive and well!

Q2.What are your favorite books to read?

A. I'm an eclectic reader! I've always loved the classic historical romances of Jude Deveraux, Julie Garwood, and Tanya Anne Crosby. But I also gobble up everything by Stephen King and Dean Koontz, the essays of Malcolm Gladwell, Ray Bradbury's science fiction, biographies, research books, and anything that keeps me on the edge of my seat.

Q3. When did you decide you were going to write a book?

A. I wrote my first "book" when I was about 10 years old. It was a medieval buddy story featuring two young squires, Jacques and Pedro. It wasn't until I was out of college that I actually tackled writing a historical romance, and that turned into my first three published books--MY CHAMPION, MY WARRIOR, and MY HERO.

Q4. How did you come up with the name of your book?

A. My first titles were chosen for me by my publisher. Now that I'm publishing my own books, I go through a long process to find titles that reflect the setting, mood, and romantic nature of the book, which isn't always easy. For my current series, The Warrior Daughters of Rivenloch, each heroine has a very different nature, so I've given the book titles starting with "Bride of" to signify romance and an element to indicate their personality. The first two books are BRIDE OF FIRE and BRIDE OF ICE.

Q5. What are you working on for 2021

A. I'm currently at work on BRIDE OF MIST, Book 3 of The Warrior Daughters of Rivenloch, Feiyan's story. Born into the Rivenloch clan of warriors, Jenefer, Hallie, and Feiyan, three fearless and fierce Scots lasses, are ready to battle the world, until heart-melting heroes arrive to challenge the spirited brides, storming their defenses and winning their hearts with the power of love.
I'm simultaneously publishing ebook editions in Italian and German and making my books available in German paperback for the first time.
Later this year, I'll write the as-yet-untitled romance of Hallie's brother, Gellir, as the Rivenloch legend continues.

Q6. How long have you been writing?

A. I've loved to write since I could hold a crayon. I started with poetry and enjoyed writing short stories and song lyrics all through school. But I didn't seriously pursue a writing career until I was 40 when I published my first book, MY CHAMPION.

Q7.What advice would you give other authors?

A. Read the kind of books you'd like to write and write every day if you can.

Q8. Where can people find you online?

A. You can find me all over the internet...

Q9. What is your favorite coffee drink?

A. I love black coffee. In summer, sometimes I'll drink it iced. If I'm feeling indulgent, I might add a shot of Bailey's.

Q10. What is your favorite coffee shop?

A. I had a favorite in my hometown of Paradise, California, where I sometimes used to write. It was a warm and woodsy place called Juice & Java and featured coffee, smoothies, home-baked muffins, lots of outlets for laptops, and friendly service. Unfortunately, it burned down in the 2018 Camp Fire, so I'm going to have to find a new favorite.

Q11. Do you plan on making a new book in the future?

A. The Rivenloch clan tree is very big, and I can't wait to hear all their stories, so they'll keep me busy for a long time to come... BRIDE OF SHADOW, BRIDE OF STEEL, BRIDE OF SNOW...

Q12. How many books have you written?

A. I've written 25+ books. Most of them are medieval historical romances, set in Scotland, England, and Ireland, but I've got one Native American romance series, California Legends, set in my Gold Rush hometown of Paradise.

Q13. Did you go to college to be a writer?

A. Believe it or not, my Bachelor of Arts degree is in Vocal Music Performance. It was strongly suggested to me that I Minor in English, but I didn't think the writing was in my future!

I married my high school sweetheart and worked as a hairdresser for ten years. Once insurance became important, I went to work at a bank and the corporate offices of a large fragrance company. After our son was born, I became a stay at home mom. I love reading Christian Contemporary Romance. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from? A. There came a time when I couldn’t find anything clean anymore when I was in my early thirties, so I decided to write what I wanted to read. My characters kept praying and talking to God and I realized I was writing Christian romance instead of merely clean. It took me nine and a half years to get published. Q3. How did you come up with the titles of your books? A. I start with a working title that fits the theme of the book. Sometimes, I change it as

Interviewing Author Grahame Peace Q1. Tell me about yourself what are your favorite books to read? A. I’m 61 years of age and was born in the Northern Textile Town of Huddersfield in England where I still live with my partner. I like many genres of books, but I don’t like anything too dark; before I retired I worked for many years in Mental Health Services in the UK, so I had more than my fill of ‘life’, and the ups and downs it can throw at people. So, I tend to go for books that offer escapism, I also like history, autobiographies, and biographies. At the moment I’m enjoying the fictional book ‘The Haunting of Ashburn House by Darcy Coates. I say I’m retired, but I now consider myself to be an author, I treat it as a full-time job, working on my books for several hours most days. Q2. when did you decide you were going to write a book? A. I retired from my job with the National Health Service in the UK nearly five years ago now; I’d already started my first book by th
