interviewing young adult  author  Allistar Banks Q.1  When did you decide you were going to write a young adult book? A. I decided I was going to write a young adult book about my weight loss journey and how I had faith in God to pull me through the hard times in my life that lead me up to my highest and lowest weight six months ago. Q. 2 How did you come up with the name of your books? A.  I came up with “Lenny the Lizard and His Green Scarf” shortly after my parents got divorced and I received a green cashmere sweater and scarf that made me feel good inside and gave me comfort from their separation. “Nosy Nicole and the Red Airplane” was based on how I was always a curious girl growing up and I loved getting into everything and Nicole is one of my favorite names for little girls. “Spring Brings Summer” was based on memories I had growing up in the spring and summer time. My fourth book to come out soon is “A Colorful Balloon Ride” is based on my art class
