Interviewing Author Elena Peeters 1. Tell me about your self what are your favorite books to read? I’m Elena Van Peborgh, a young author from Belgium. I focus on writing fantasy. My debut novel Dragon Dream is a YA urban fantasy story about a young shape-shifter girl who dreams of becoming a dragon, but dragons aren’t real shape-shifters. She goes to druids who can perform magic to find out if they can turn her into a dragon with their magic. I myself also like to read fantasy, I’m a huge fan of the Shadowhunters series of Cassandra Clare and the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. 2.when did you decide you were going to write a book? I was 8 when I started to become interested in writing. I wrote a short story as an assignment for school and my teacher was really impressed by the difficult words I used and she also said the idea for it was original.
