Interviewing Author  Maria Henriksen Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I don't tend to reread books. However, as a substitute teacher for mainly high school and middle school students, I have reread The Outsiders which is one of my favorite novels. It was an assignment for HS students so I took the opportunity to reread it. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from? A. Ever since I was a child I wanted to write. In fact, I wrote and illustrated books in third grade. It wasn't until about 10 years ago that I decided to write a novel. My novel took a few months to write. Over 2 years ago, I dusted it off the proverbial shelf to get it ready to be published. Q3. How did you come up with the titles of your books? A. My novel is a YA edgy Christian romance.
