Book Review: The Pinball's By Betsy Byars

Carlie knows she's got no say in what happens to her. Stuck in a foster home with two other kids, Harvey and Thomas J, she's just a pinball being bounced from bumper to bumper. As soon as you get settled, somebody puts another coin in the machine and off you go again. But against her will and her better judgment, Carlie and the boys become friends. And all three of them start to see that they can take control of their own lives. A book that will make you cry, and make you happy. This is one of my favorite books since I was homeschooled in middle school. when I had to read it for a book report I loved it ever since. it's a great book to show how these foster kids learn how to deal with grief by sticking together it is told with humor and it is also very realistic I would recommend reading this book The Pinballs is an amazing story of three kids trying to survive abuse and placement into the foster care system. It’s a great book and a quick read for elementary and junior hi
