Interviewing Author Rick Starkey Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. My wife and I own Make It Magic. It’s a magic shop in the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts community in Gatlinburg TN. We sell magic tricks and carve bears with a chainsaw. My favorite books to read are in middle grade. I like Carl Hiaasen’s Hoot, Chomp, Scat, and Squirm, though some of the languages in Squirm surprised me. I also like anything by Jack Gantos. I love his humor. There are many others. I married my high school sweetheart and worked as a hairdresser for ten years. Once insurance became important, I went to work at a bank and the corporate offices of a large fragrance company. After our son was born, I became a stay at home mom. I love reading Christian Contemporary Romance. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from? A. I am the CEO and founder of Antoine Airoldi Communications Inc., a ghostwriting and consulting firm, helping online celebrities, influencers, and experts write and publish books.  I love reading any philosophical work that will challenge my current paradigm. Interviewing Author Janet Pywell Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A.  I've been reading for as long as I remember. As a child, we were frequently taken to the local library and I discovered the amazing world of imagination. I loved AA Milne and one of the first books I remember my mother reading to me when I was about 7 years old was "I am David” by Anne Holm: a harrowing account of a young boy escaping a concentration camp. I read avidly as a teenager and in my adult years, I have been attracted to crime thrillers and suspense novels.  I’ve always kept an open mind with my reading and I’ll read books in just about every genre. A.  I have been a lover of books for most of my life, so I have gone through a lot of reading phases.  Now, mostly I read Christian Fiction novels and young adult novels.   Q2.
