Melissa Sercia interview

Melissa Sercia interview  Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. Hi, my name is Melissa Sercia and I’m a fantasy author. My latest series is a dark, urban fantasy called Blood and Darkness, published by City Owl Press. When I’m not writing, I’m thinking about writing or reading. My book collection is extensive and my TBR list is out of control. My oldest and most cherished books are Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I read it when I was 16 years old, and it made me want to become a writer. Currently, I’m enjoying reading Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin and The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from?  A.  The inspiration to write stems from a love of storytelling, a fascination with escapism and daydreams, and the quest for immortality. Stories live forever. They move and inspire people. I’ve always wanted to transport readers to fantastic and magical place...

Interviewing Author Carol Opalinski Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I grew up in New England but traded snow for central AC when we moved to the Deep South for my husband’s work 22 years ago. I love to travel, am addicted to British crime dramas and I have a Seinfeld quote appropriate for almost any occasion. I’ve been married for 44 year—to the same man! We have two grown sons and two spoiled cats.  I love reading romance because of the happy endings. I also enjoy reading mystery/suspense. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from?  A. From everywhere! I love reading those quirky feel-good stories like high school sweethearts reunited after 50 years or the about the funeral of a school teacher where the church was filled not with flowers but backpacks full of school supplies for underprivileged children.  Q3. New Interview Randee Green - Author

New Interview Randee Green - Author Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I'd have to say that I’m a bit of an eccentric. I love professional wrestling, I act at a local haunted attraction, and I’m a crazy cat lady. I’d rather write than doing anything else – luckily my boyfriend is a gamer so he can play video games while I write, and we are both happy.  My favorite books to read (and write) are mysteries. I will read everything from cozy mysteries to crime thrillers. I like trying to figure out the killer and the motive before the reveal.  Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from? A. I first realized that I wanted to be a writer when I was in second grade. Every day, my teacher, Mrs. Ziegler would read to us for about half an hour while we calmed down after we came in from recess. As an avid lover of books since before I could read, this was my favorite part of the school day. I will never forget the d...

Interviewing Author Matt Lucas Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I’m a young author originally from Pittsburgh. I grew up on the action and adventure stories like Indiana Jones, Batman comics, and James Bond. Early in life writing was my hobby and I loved creating my own stories. Now, in adulthood, I’m enthralled with epic tales like Game of Thrones and Angels and Demons, which has influenced much of my writing. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from? A. I was 23, working 9-5 and made a decision that I wanted more out of life. I’ve always daydreamt and had stories built up in my heart that kept knocking to get out. I was dealing with some personal struggles at the time and came to the realization that life is too short to dedicate it to anything that you don’t love. I didn’t love my work, but I loved my writing so I started writing. Q3. How did you come up with the titles of your books? A.  My primary...
