interviewing Cameile Graham - Author of Children's book "Justin is a Special Eight"

Q 1 when did you decide you were going to write a book?

A. About a year ago, I realized that I was almost always answering the question of "What happened to your son?" I told this story so many times to the surprise of listeners regarding the condition that left him with multi-disabilities. It was then that I decided I would write the book "Justin is a Special Eight" in Children's book format, to engage the entire family in conversation about the condition that left him bound to a wheelchair, though 100% preventable.

Q.2 how did you come up with the name of your books?

A."Justin is a Special Eight" is based on the true story of my special son, Justin, who lives with multi-disabilities.  Deciding on the title was pretty easy, in that case.

Q. 3 what are you working on now for 2018?
A. I am working on a second Children's book intended to encourage children and young adults to take on challenging tasks and the importance of finishing whatever they start. I have not yet decided on the title.

Q 4. how long have you been writing?
A. All my life, really. I have always had a pen and notepad or book carrying around with me. Words were always my entertainment and comfort. Later in life, writing became a means of therapy through some rough patches in life, especially as I became a special mom. This title, "Justin is a Special Eight" is my first published book, however.

Q 5. What advice would you give other authors?

A. I would say never stop writing. There are so many stories to be told and read. This change lives. We, as authors, have an awesome instrument in the form of words that when employed meaningfully, is perhaps the greatest gift of life.

Q 6. we're can people find you online?
A. I anticipate young adults, parents-to-be as well as teachers of special needs children to grab a copy of my book. They can have access to the book as well as much more information on the topic at
The book can be found on Amazon.com and other outlets

Q7 do you plan on making more books in the future?
A.Yes. Definitely! I believe that I have several stories to tell and plan to share them with the world, as God permits.

Q 8 how many books have you written?

A.So far, "Justin is a Special Eight" is my very first published title. However, I am working on a few others for publication in the near future.

Q 9 did you go to college to be a writer?

A.No. In fact, I studied Education in college and university. I am a trained teacher of the English Language with a minor in Philosophy Education; this, of course, involves much reading and writing. My interest in words and writing for others was always there, for sure, but primarily, in school, I focused on teaching, maybe because my mother is a trained teacher as well. I believe that now, writing has become my new passion and interest.
