interviewing children's author joy fernandez



This is Joy Femandez she is a children's author I had the privilege of interviewing her on my blog.


Q1. when did you decide you were going to write a children's book?

A. I decided to write a children's book after spending many nights making up stories and reading to them. 

Q2. how did you come up with the name of your books?

A. The name of my new book Little Bellas Nighttime wonderland was actually just the draft name,  it stuck. Bella is my you test daughter's name.

Q3. what are you working on now for 20 18?

A. At the moment I am working on a sequel to Little Bella. I actually would like this to be a series of books that help to teach kids to appreciate nature. I am also working on a funny little series about a fox and a cat.

Q4.how long have you been writing?

A. I have been writing off and on since it was a young girl. Writing has always been a passion of mine.

Q5. What advice would you give other authors?

A. The advice I have to any writer hoping to one day have their own published book(s) is to never give up. It can be a discouraging process however, if you want it bad enough, you will be a published author one day.

Q7 do you plan on making more books in the future?

A. I most definitely plan on more books coming soon!


Q8.how many books have you written?

A. This is my first published work. However, I have quite a few waiting for their time to be published and shine.

Q9.did you go to college to be a writer

A. I did not go to college to be a writer.

A.  I write romantic suspense books and live on Lake Murray in beautiful South Carolina with my retired Navy husband, who is my go-to for colorful slang and guy talk.
