when did you decide you were going to write a book?

A.  I have always wanted to write a book. To see your name on the front cover and be able to watch people read it in a library was a dream of mine.

Q.2 how did you come up with the name of your books

A.  Derek the Alien and the Orange Jelly Planet' was my first book published in January of this year. I have no idea where I got the name from although I did think of 'Mickey' at first but then considered it might sound like Mickey Mouse! Derek was the next name in my head! (I don't even know anyone called Derek!). I wanted Derek to have another adventure so my next book will be launched around November time. This one is called 'Derek the Alien and the Raspberry Milkshake Sky'. I guess that has answered the question

Q. 3 what are you working on now for 20 18?

A. number 3 too! In addition, I am also writing a book of poetry and prose for slightly older children which I am currently collating. I visit schools with my book getting the children to create their own story, design their own alien, involve them in drama and a whole host of other fun stuff when I arrive. The plan is to get them interested in reading and storytelling - even for the reluctant readers who can be hard to reach!

Q 4. how long have you been writing?

A. The answer is - for as long as I could write my name! I used to write stories and take them into my class to read them to the children. I was about 5 years old then. I used to beg the teacher to let me read books to the children too. At about the age of 6, we were asked to write a poem. I got a house point (a merit mark!). I couldn't believe I did something that I thought was fairly easy and that I enjoyed that got me a small reward in class!

Q 5. What advice would you give other authors?

A. What advice? I think the best way to grow as an author is to see what others are doing, read about new ideas, listen to advice and then do what you really want to do yourself!!

Q 6.  where can people find you online?

A. Where can I be found? I can be found on Facebook under Sarah Isaacs Author. I have a website www.sarahisaacsauthor.co.uk and if you want to contact me try sarahisaacsauthor@outlook.com

Q7 do you plan on making more books in the future

A. Yes, I have my next Derek book out very soon within the next few weeks and I have a great musical project I am in the middle of too but I can't say any more than that at the moment!!

Q 8 how many books have you written I have 2 published books but others tucked away ready for another time!

Q9. did you go to college to be a writer

A. I studied drama at University and that meant, later on, I taught Children's Theatre, Storytelling and Radio Script Writing at college. I have taught English too in high schools and before all this, I would write on occasions for trade magazines. In fact, I remember I also wrote for my church magazine when I was about 13!

Interviewing Author Grahame Peace Q1. Tell me about yourself what are your favorite books to read? A. I’m 61 years of age and was born in the Northern Textile Town of Huddersfield in England where I still live with my partner. I like many genres of books, but I don’t like anything too dark; before I retired I worked for many years in Mental Health Services in the UK, so I had more than my fill of ‘life’, and the ups and downs it can throw at people. So, I tend to go for books that offer escapism, I also like history, autobiographies, and biographies. At the moment I’m enjoying the fictional book ‘The Haunting of Ashburn House by Darcy Coates. I say I’m retired, but I now consider myself to be an author, I treat it as a full-time job, working on my books for several hours most days. Q2. when did you decide you were going to write a book? A. I retired from my job with the National Health Service in the UK nearly five years ago now; I’d already started my first book by th

I tend to choose books from the same genres that I write… mysteries, historical fiction, fantasy… and I gravitate back to older books more than newer. I like stories that move at a good, steady pace, almost like a well-made film; that isn’t preachy, but still, give you something to think about; and that have well-developed characters that act like real people.  Q2.when did you decide you were going to write a book? I’d been  A.writing screenplays since the early 2000s and I’d gotten some notice for them, but getting into that industry is notoriously difficult and expensive. Then I learned about the rise of indie publishing, KDP and such, and decided to try adapting the stories into novels. Q3. How did you come up with the name of your books?  A. Poetry, songs,

Interviewing Author Shannon Taylor Vannatter Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I started reading clean romance when I was fourteen. I married my high school sweetheart and worked as a hairdresser for ten years. Once insurance became important, I went to work at a bank and the corporate offices of a large fragrance company. After our son was born, I became a stay at home mom. I love reading Christian Contemporary Romance. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from? A. There came a time when I couldn’t find anything clean anymore when I was in my early thirties, so I decided to write what I wanted to read. My characters kept praying and talking to God and I realized I was writing Christian romance instead of merely clean. It took me nine and a half years to get published. Q3. How did you come up with the titles of your books? A. I start with a working title that fits the theme of the book. Sometimes, I change it as
