Q1. Tell me about yourself what are your favorite books to read?

A. I enjoy reading historical fiction as it’s a completely different way of life and speech. However, I’m so glad I don’t live in those times, especially as a woman.
Mostly, I read Christian contemporary fiction which is the genre I write.

Q2. When did you decide you were going to write a book?

A. More Than A Second Chance is based on a true story. I was inspired to share “Cassie’s” determination to help others although she’d been through so much disappointment and tragedy in her life. She’s an amazing woman and I thought she deserved a happy ending—that part is fictional and yet to come to pass in real life.

Q3. How did you come up with name of your books?

A.“Cassie” had made two major mistakes in her life and eventually a third, hence the title “More Than A Second Chance”

Q4. What are you working on for 2019?

A.My second novel in the “Single Again” series is called Acres of Promise. The women eventually moves to a dream property where restoration is found in her life.
The story is based on a single mother with a defiant teenage son. To lighten the story, there’s plenty of humor as she avoids Mr. Wrong until she finds Mr. Right.

Q5. How long have you been writing?

A. Up until two years ago, I wrote non-fiction, but now I focus on contemporary romance.

Q6. What advice would you give other authors?

A. Immerse yourself with writing craft books and find a supportive critique group.

Q7. Where can people find you online?

Q8. Do you plan on making more books in the future?

A. I’ve signed a contract with Celebrate Lit for five novels to be released from 2022 working with five other authors in a box set series.

Q9. How many books have you written?

A. In fiction, I’ve written two novels and working on two currently.

Q10. Did you go to college to be a writer?

A. No, I’ve learned mostly from reading other works, writing craft books and courses plus “Google it.” With the resources we have online, it’s wonderful how we can learn what we need at that time to directly apply to the project we have going. I also value my editors and critique partners. They help my work shine all the more.
