Interviewing Author Kathy Roberts

Q1.Tell me about yourself. What are your favorite books to read?

A. I am a Christian, a wife, and a mother of 1 2019 senior.  I am very active in church and help care for my mother who has Alzheimer's.  I always have a smile and look for the positive in everything.  I used to just like romance novels (clean) but I've found myself drawn to shapeshifters recently.  I like inspirational books as well.

Q2. When did you decide you were going to write a book?

A. In 1987 I had an idea for a romance story, so I began writing it.  I didn' think it could ever be published, but I loved the story, so I wrote.  In 2013 after a friend of mine's daughter published, I got my book out and began typing it up to see if I could publish as well.  Thank you Amazon/Createspace.  I had not finished the book, but I always knew how it ended, so I wrote the last 4 chapters and while writing that, I got the whole storyline for the sequel.

Q3. How did you come up with the name of your books?

A. The names came with the ideas, nothing to ponder, it was there with the storyline.

Q4.What are you working on for 2019?

A. I am currently not writing as my dad's passing in 2017 was a shock and I've had to devote a lot more of my free time to helping care for my mother.  I would like to do a sequel to Kingdoms of the Curse and have given that a little thought. I have a couple ideas, jut not the whole storyline, like I usually have when I start writing.  Hopefully, it will come.

Q5. How long have you been writing?

A. since 1987

Q6.What advice would you give other authors?

A. s so much easier now to write and publish your own book, but make it good!  have someone really good edit for grammar, spelling, correct usage of words and story continuity.  People are turned off very quickly if there are missed or misspelled words.  Marketing your self-published book is HARD; but there are many successful self-published authors out there, so don't give up!

Q7 Where can people find you online?

Q8.Do you plan on making more books in the future?

A. I do, I'm awaiting art for the last 2 books in the Adventures With Freddy self-help/teaching series for children.  They're already written and would like to do the sequel already mentioned and of course, anything else that creeps into my mind during the few hours it's not already inundated with day to day life issues.

Q9. How many books have you written?

A. I have 5 novels out and 4 of the 6 children's books are published with the last two written, just awaiting artwork.

Q10. Did you go to college to be a writer?

A. No, I did not.

Thanks so much for doing this for us authors, we can use all the publicity we can get!

Interviewing Author  Margie Harding Q1. Tell me about your self?    A. I am a wife to Charles (47 years), momma to 5 grown children— four of which are married, with 17 grandchildren and another on the way!  I enjoy reading and writing and when I have the time, I enjoy quilting and studying all kinds of things!  I like learning!  My husband and I travel a good deal and plan to visit Alaska, the only state we haven’t been to in our married life!  I have a strong faith and believe God has given me the gift of writing for a purpose.  It took me a while to realize it, but the perspective of my writing includes writing for children with disabilities—- but not only for the children with the disability, but for the one who asks, ‘What’s wrong with my friend?’  This makes these books unique and a great resource for a classroom as a starting point for conversation. Independent book review: Froggy Learns to Swim by Jonathan Landon and Illustrated by Frank Remkiewicz  The Froggy series has always been my favorite book ever since I was little too. My favorite book from the series is Froggy Bakes a Cake when my sisters and I were little we enjoyed reading this to our mom.  The Froggy book series is great for ages 2-4 years. This is a great book to add to your children's summer reading list. When I was a kindergarten teacher aide I enjoyed reading to the child This is a book that I would love  to read to them. The author did an amazing job on this book;  The illustrations in this book are so cute and exquisite.  This is a book I had on my bookshelf that love and thought I would do an independent review on it. ALL OPINIONS ARE MINE.  Make sure look or check if your local library carries the Froggy series
