Interviewing  Author Lisa Bell

Q1. when did you decide you were going to write a book?

A. I decided to write a book back in 2014.  I had been writing a children’s blog that taught kids about solar energy.  I thought it would make a nice children’s book.

Q.2 how did you come up with the name of your books

A. I named the book after the main characters in the book.

Q. 3 what are you working on now for 2018?

A. My second book has been with the illustrator for a little longer than we planned but it should be finished soon.  It is a continuing story of the Sun Rays and their friends as they go to another country and meet new friends.

I also saw a painting in my Facebook painting group of a snowman reading to a Reindeer.  It was so good that I asked the artist if she illustrated children’s books.  She hadn’t but she was okay with me writing one for the picture.  She liked the story so much that we plan to publish it.  She is doing some more illustrations.

Q 4. how long have you been writing?

A. I have been writing the blog short stories since 2011.  Before that, I mostly did newsletters for the church or charity organizations.

Q 5. What advice would you give other authors?

A. Be persistent with your craft so you get better at it.  Have fun with your writing and listen to your audience.

Q 6.  we're can people find you online?

A. https://www.amazon.com/Adventures-Sunny-Ray-Learning-Friends-ebook/dp/B016TPTT0Q that is the book.  I can be found on Facebook - facebook.com/LisaBellAuthor

Q7 do you plan on making more books in the future

A. Yes. My eventual goal would be to have the Sunny and Ray books become an educational TV show.  I will probably continue to write on other topics for kids as well.

Q 8 how many books have you written

A. 3 (I have done some activity books.  If you count those it is 5)

Q 9 did you go to college to be a writer

A. No, but last week I did start a certificate course to improve my writing.

My favorite book from the series is Froggy Bakes a Cake when my sisters and I were little we enjoyed reading this to our mom.  The Froggy book series is great for ages 2-4 years. This is a great book to add to your children's summer reading list. When I was a kindergarten teacher aide I enjoyed reading to the child This is a book that I would love  to read to them. The author did an amazing job on this book;  The illustrations in this book are so cute and exquisite.  This is a book I had on my bookshelf that love and thought I would do an independent review on it.
