Synopsis of the book:

PLAY! is a story about the importance of play in the exploration of career choices and the development of positive emotional intelligence in children. The main character walks the reader through a typical day in the life of a child while she introduces each of her friends and how they play. The diverse characters allow all children to see reflections of themselves within the pages of this book. Readers from preschool through second grade have enjoyed this story the most.


PLAY! 


A story about the importance of play told through the perspective of a child. This child-friendly story focuses on emotional intelligence and 


When I was a kindergarten teacher's aide I would read to the children in my class this is a book that I would have loved to read to them.


This would make a great book for any classroom and library.


I do think it is impotent for children to play.  

When I was growing up I loved playing outside with my sisters.

I think children should spend less time watching tv and more time playing outside with friends and family.


Author Biography:
Veronica Stanley-Hooper has her BS in Elementary Education and more than thirty years of teaching, educational product development, and illustration experience. She loves putting her knowledge to work by writing and illustrating children's books.
