Sammy whammy be-bop boo!
With these magical words, Sammy begins a journey of her wildest imagination. Sammy is granted five wishes from a magic wand and uses them to become the one thing she has always dreamed of: a real princess! She uses her wishes to transform her world into a fairy-tale setting complete with a castle, a crown, glitter slippers, and the finest dress a princess could wear. But, ultimately, Sammy comes to realize that being a princess is not all it promises to be. Beautifully illustrated, Sammy and the Magical Wand will leave children ready for more!
Summary
Sammy and the Magical Wand is a delightful story of how a little girl’s discovery of a magic wand initially makes her dreams come true. The morale - being careful what you wish for - combines a classic story with a meaningful message; even our greatest fantasies aren’t as wonderful without anyone to share them with. The value of family love and support means more than material objects. Filled with rich illustrations, this book is perfect for every child who dares to dream.
When I was a kindergarten teacher's aide I would read to the children in my class this is a book that I would have loved to read to them.
This would make a great book for any classroom and library.
I think it is important for children to use their imagination

The inspiration behind the book
Helping kids’ value what’s truly important in life can be challenging! Sometimes, it seems like everything works against us as parents. Our kids are surrounded by ads everywhere they go, and they’re continually shown all the toys, clothes, and games that they should want. Raising kids who focus on people and values instead of possessions can feel incredibly difficult. I wanted to write a story to help my children, Sammy and Matthew understand that the best things in life aren’t things! Through this story, parents can start to have the conversation with their children to learn that the important things in life are the people we love, not the things we possess.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for a review on my blog.
