Summary

Sammy and the Magical Wand is a delightful story of how a little girl’s discovery of a magic wand initially makes her dreams come true. The morale - being careful what you wish for - combines a classic story with a meaningful message; even our greatest fantasies aren’t as wonderful without anyone to share them with. The value of family love and support means more than material objects. Filled with rich illustrations, this book is perfect for every child who dares to dream.

When I was a kindergarten teacher's aide I would read to the children in my class this is a book that I would have loved to read to them.

This would make a great book for any classroom and library.

I think it is important  for children to use their imagination

Bio

Mindy Zaidman was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She is a professional educator who teaches special education in Queens while devoting herself to her husband and two children. From a young age, Mindy dreamed of becoming an author. With the birth of her first child, inspiration struck.

The inspiration behind the book

Helping kids’ value what’s truly important in life can be challenging! Sometimes, it seems like everything works against us as parents. Our kids are surrounded by ads everywhere they go, and they’re continually shown all the toys, clothes, and games that they should want. Raising kids who focus on people and values instead of possessions can feel incredibly difficult. I wanted to write a story to help my children, Sammy and Matthew understand that the best things in life aren’t things!  Through this story, parents can start to have the conversation with their children to learn that the important things in life are the people we love, not the things we possess.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for a review on my blog.

But was not required to leave a review.

All opinions are mine.
