Q1. Tell me about your self what are your favorite books to read?
A. About me. Well, I’ve been writing since I was young but published my first book about 6 years ago. It wasn’t something I expected to continue after my first venture but, to my surprise, the book went over great and the ideas started flowing after that. Since that fateful first publication, I have written 6 more books and have lots more lined up for years to come.
For reading, I honestly love reading anything that grabs my attention and holds it. It doesn’t matter if it’s deep philosophy, fictional mysteries, biographies, or breezy kids’ books. If the writing and flow keep me interested, I will read anything you put in front of me.
Q2.when did you decide you were going to write a book?
A. When my son was small I had the idea for King Boogie which was my first book. I’ve always been the kind of person to try something just to say I did and this was one of those times. It didn’t matter to me if it was a success or failure, I wanted to set an example for my son, and, honestly, it sounded like fun.
3. How did you come up with the name of your books?
A. I just went with the first thing that came to mind in most cases and tried not to overthink it. If the title encapsulated the general idea of the book and had a ring to it, I locked it in.
4. What are you working on for 2020?
A. Currently, I’m finishing a book for a local sports team that should be coming out when the season resumes. Besides that, I’m also biting the bullet and pouring a good amount of time into my first chapter book which I expect to come out in late fall/winter this year.
5. How long have you been writing?
A. Quite a while. I’ve been writing short stories, songs, and poems since I was young but never planned on any of them seeing the light of day. Writing and creating is just a fun and cathartic exercise for me. It’s like a puzzle to me to frame and build a story that conveys a message while staying within the parameters of flow, length, and clarity.
6. What advice would you give other authors?
A. Believe in yourself and take the leap. Just trying in the first place is something very few people do and you will refine your style with every project you try. Lastly, don’t let the praise of people be your barometer for success. If you have something to say, say it no matter what.

8. Do you plan on making more books in the future?
A. Absolutely! I have a list of books to write that will keep me going for years.
9. How many books have you written?
A. so far with another waiting to print.
10 did you go to college to be a writer?
A. Far from it! I actually went to Culinary School and then completed my Masters in Management. The writing was always just a hobby to me that eventually took on a life of its own.
