Author Interview With Absalon Estudio

 


Q1. Please tell me more about yourself?

A. My name is Kevyn Gallegos, I write under the name of Absalon and I am the creator of Absalon Estudio, a group that creates manga and illustrated novels

I am 25 and I am from the Equator and I am an amateur writer since I am 15


Q2. What are your favorite books to read?

A. I like fantasy and thriller books, I also like horror books but not all of them. My favorite book is room 1408 

Q3. Do you like coffee or tea?

A. I prefer tea, especially chamomile tea

Q4. How many books have you written?

A. I have two original books, the first one is completed. "The essences of time". This one is in Spanish. The second one is a novel that I am still writing "Paladins: The Knight of misfortune". The first chapter of this novel is available however and it is in Spanish and English. Paladins is the first official work of Absalon Estudio. The story is being written by me and the illustration are made by a Japanese artist.

I wrote as well to long fanfics about Boruto and My hero academia as well

Q5. Do you have a favorite bookstore?

A. Not really. Wherever I can obtain a book is good for me.

Q6. Did you go to college for writing?

A. No, I learned everything from the internet and advice from other writers. I am an engineer

Q7. Growing up What were your favorite books to read?

A. I used to like mystery books about legends of my country. My favorite one was "Lost in the Chimborazo" The Chimborazo is a volcano in the equator and the legend says that the coming of the ice on the top of the volcano can extend life"

Q8. How did you get inspired to write a book?

A. I wanted to be more than a consumer of literature, I wanted to be a creator and to transmit and create a feeling for the readers. I like when someone feels that the character I wrote is alive and can relate to that character.

Q9. What hobbies do you have?

A. I like to play video games and watch anime. I really appreciate manga and anime Japanese culture

Q10 Do you have a favorite coffee shop?

I don't have one. During my college time, I had no money or time to go out to a good coffee shop. I get used to drinking my tea at home

A. I publish my work on pixiv as Absalon Estudio and I am on Instagram @absalon_eatudio_en

Independent book review: Froggy Learns to Swim by Jonathan Landon and Illustrated by Frank Remkiewicz  The Froggy series has always been my favorite book ever since I was little too. My favorite book from the series is Froggy Bakes a Cake when my sisters and I were little we enjoyed reading this to our mom.  The Froggy book series is great for ages 2-4 years. This is a great book to add to your children's summer reading list. When I was a kindergarten teacher aide I enjoyed reading to the child This is a book that I would love  to read to them. The author did an amazing job on this book;  The illustrations in this book are so cute and exquisite.  This is a book I had on my bookshelf that love and thought I would do an independent review on it.
