Q1.Please tell me more about yourself?
A. I’m retired now but used to be in catering, working around the UK north and southern Ireland, South Africa, and Mozambique. I have also run my own business a small hotel and at one time a restaurant (where I burned my fingers clean up to my elbows). I’ve also helped out in boatbuilding and house conversions. I’m now writing as well as getting around to doing one or two things I never had time for. Two of my children live in Australia; my other, the eldest does work that I’m not really allowed to talk about!
Q2. What are your favorite books to read?
A. My favorite books are mostly from a few years back (I’m a baby boomer). Most books by Len Deighton, Alistair MacLean Jack Higgins, and Desmond Bagley.
Q3. Do you like coffee or tea?
A. Coffee, every time.
Q4. How many books have you written?
A. Written three books. The first ‘Stormfront’ is published by The Book Guild. The second ‘No Such Ting as Angels’ is in preparation the third I am going over again.
Q5. Do you have a favorite bookstore?
A. Good bookshops, any independent; they are usually run by knowledgeable enthusiasts.
Q6. Did you go to college for writing?
A. Didn’t attend any writing courses or college.
Q7. Growing up What were your favorite books to read?
A. Like a lot of youngsters, I would start a book then put it to one side after reading about a third. The first I finished was ‘The Golden Keel’ by Desmond Bagley.
Q8. How did you get inspired to write a book?
A. Getting inspired was from reading thrillers when I discovered anything goes; let your mind go wild!
Q9. What hobbies do you have?
A. Hobbies, fishing, clay pigeon shooting (don’t like shooting at live targets), and taking my wife out to National Trust properties.
Q10 Do you have a favorite coffee shop?
A. My favorite coffee shop in Coffee # 1 Not sure there are any outlets outside of the UK. Maybe?
