Q1. Please tell me more about yourself?

A. My name is Oleathia Robinson known in the entertainment industry as Butta B-Rocka- I am an International Recording Artists, Film Director/Producer/Screenwriter, Playwriter, and Actress. I’m also the Host of the Transparency Talks Podcast

Q2. What are your favorite books to read?

A. I love self-help books or autobiography’s that shows how one overcomes adversities and ends up on top. Those types of books motivate me!

Q3. Do you like coffee or tea?

A. I like Tea, I became a big tea lover when I had a performance tour in Africa. I was on tour in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and it’s literally their custom to have tea with every meal. I eventually found myself drinking tea at least 3 to 4 times a day! Thinking back perhaps that’s how I lost weight while I was there! Lol.

Q4.How many books have you written?

A. I’ve written two books! The first book is a self-help/autobiography entitled: Fear of Failure, Fear of Not Trying! It discusses my trials, tribulations, and triumphs in the music industry, my failures, setbacks of juggling music, going through a divorce, raising two sons on my own all while going back to college! I’ve very proud of my book as I honestly had to overcome my own fear of telling my story and hoping it would be well received! I am proud to say I became an Amazon Best Seller and Best New Release within 7 hours of my pre-release!

My second book just dropped. It’s my first children’s book entitled: The Adventures in Butta Butta Land – Overcoming Fear and Doubt. Children at a young age start to have fear and doubt and I wanted to address them on their level to let them know, one they are not alone and two encourage some steps to take to overcome. My goal is to get this into schools, and libraries worldwide.

Q5. Do you have a favorite bookstore?

A. I love Barnes and Noble- perhaps because it’s close to my house lol- but seriously, I go in there, grab a good book, and get lost in my own world!

Q6. Did you go to college for writing?

A. No, I have a degree in Computer Information Systems, and another in Public Relations/Marketing. But at the age of 13, I began writing songs

Q7. Growing up What were your favorite books to read?

A. Prosperity Secrets of the Ages by Catherine Ponder- that book changed my life. It taught me that when I rule my mind, I rule my world.

Q8. How did you get inspired to write a book?

A. I’ve always wanted to write my own book but I was scared of being transparent, telling my story, hoping people would support it, etc, and one day while I was performing at this Yacht party in Ft Lauderdale. The guest speaker got up to do his speech. He is a millionaire, his name is Bill Walsh and I’ll never forget it. He said write your story and it honestly felt like the message was meant for me, other people have said that to me before. But on that day, I was ready to receive hearing it. He told us to dive right in, don’t think about it take action. The hardest part is to start. So I did just that, while I was on tour singing in Hawaii – there was a hurricane which left me there for 5 additional days. I locked myself in the room and wrote my book in 4 days! It was so liberating.

Q9. What hobbies do you have?

A. Singing, dancing, and watching movies.

Q10. Do you have a favorite coffee shop?

A. I go to a little coffee shop called Rev Coffee shop in Smyrna GA, I go there to work sometimes and hold meetings the energy is just right. I am a tea woman! Give me my green tea and a good book.

Interviewing Author Shannon Taylor Vannatter Q1. Tell us about yourself. What are your favorite books to read? A. I started reading clean romance when I was fourteen. I married my high school sweetheart and worked as a hairdresser for ten years. Once insurance became important, I went to work at a bank and the corporate offices of a large fragrance company. After our son was born, I became a stay at home mom. I love reading Christian Contemporary Romance. Q2. Where did the inspiration to write come from? A. There came a time when I couldn’t find anything clean anymore when I was in my early thirties, so I decided to write what I wanted to read. My characters kept praying and talking to God and I realized I was writing Christian romance instead of merely clean. It took me nine and a half years to get published. Q3. How did you come up with the titles of your books? A. I start with a working title that fits the theme of the book. Sometimes, I change it as

A. I’m 61 years of age and was born in the Northern Textile Town of Huddersfield in England where I still live with my partner. I like many genres of books, but I don’t like anything too dark; before I retired I worked for many years in Mental Health Services in the UK, so I had more than my fill of ‘life’, and the ups and downs it can throw at people. So, I tend to go for books that offer escapism, I also like history, autobiographies, and biographies. At the moment I’m enjoying the fictional book ‘The Haunting of Ashburn House by Darcy Coates. I say I’m retired, but I now consider myself to be an author, I treat it as a full-time job, working on my books for several hours most days. Q2. when did you decide you were going to write a book? A. I retired from my job with the National Health Service in the UK nearly five years ago now; I’d already started my first book by th

Interview Author Gabriella Messina Q1. Tell me about yourself what are your favorite books to read?  A.  I’ve found that, as I continue to grow as a writer, I’ve grown more selective as a reader. I tend to choose books from the same genres that I write… mysteries, historical fiction, fantasy… and I gravitate back to older books more than newer. I like stories that move at a good, steady pace, almost like a well-made film; that isn’t preachy, but still, give you something to think about; and that have well-developed characters that act like real people.  Q2.when did you decide you were going to write a book? I’d been  A.writing screenplays since the early 2000s and I’d gotten some notice for them, but getting into that industry is notoriously difficult and expensive. Then I learned about the rise of indie publishing, KDP and such, and decided to try adapting the stories into novels. Q3. How did you come up with the name of your books?  A. Poetry, songs,
